Well, it would be great for school, but, depending on the age of the student and school grade, it may be overkill. Certainly, it's more than an elementary or high school student needs, whereas secondary school students would be very well served. Personally, if I had a primary school-age kid, I wouldn't spend this much money on a machine that will likely get dropped, banged around, or stolen. One of the less-expensive machines target at the educational market would be more rugged and drop-resistant, and less of a heartache if it was lost/stolen/broken.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends, what are you wanting to do with a laptop in school? If you're talking about taking notes and building presentations, and writing papers then YES it can do all that and a lot more. If you're in Engineering School and you need to run a CAD package like SolidWorks or AutoCAD then no it can't do that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well I'm way behind school... Lol... But yeah...I think it would be great for someone in school. It's a complete laptop and tablet all in one and it's very versatile! I think you'd love it.
