“Hi, I have used it primarily as a second display to my Macbook Air.... it's worked wonderfully. Now I wonder, since I'm in a household with cable TV, whether I can use it to connect to cable (Xfinity is what the house has and I've an outlet in my room.”

• You could, conneccting via HDMI using an external cable box. Because it is a monitor, and not equipped as a TV, audio may be an issue.
