I have two of these monitors connected to my macbook pro 2012 in extended mode. So far they have being working great. One of them is connected to the minidisplay port and the other one is connected to a usb port using an external graphic card. Both using the hdmi cables that come with the monitors.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Compatible with 21.5 late 2012 iMac – Just needs the DVI-to-HDMI adaptor. Go for it. This monitor has excellent quality brightness and control settings. Easy choice for $100 bucks. I presume my GF's MacBook Air (early 2015) will be just as good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This monitor has VGA and HDMI input. As long as you purchase the right dongal for your Mac, it will work fine. You'll need a display port to VGA or Display port to HDMI. You can get either at Best Buy or even less $$ at Amazon.
