No, it is not, unless you adapt the DisplayPort-over-UsbC to HDMI, and finding Mac compatibility for that would be a longshot. Your best bet is getting a Dell monitor listed as Mac compatible if you're looking to not spend $$$$$ on Apple-branded monitors.
