Yes this will run office programs, will give a quick boot up and fast performance, and will run most software. The 8GB of ram will let you do heavy multitasking.

Yes, this computer is also good for work.

I am retired and therefore only use it for playing games and banking. it is great for that. I am not computer literate but this computer was extremely easy to put together. I like the keyboard
