• I honestly have not heard the fan. I hear a buzz from the computer but that is all I hear.

• This is a fast booting laptop and will perform pretty quick with the Ryzen 3, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. These computers will last longer than 5 years usually. I have no information on the fan noise which is referenced.
