Can this screen be a split screen? null

It works like an extension of your laptop. It can either mirror your laptop screen or you can split the view between your laptop and the monitor.

Yes. For mac just plug the two HDMI ports into your computer. Some macs only have one HDMI port you so you will need a mini display to HDMI cable. For windows you will need an DVI cables

I use it to display two windows side-by-side if that is what you are trying to do.
