• If your macBook Pro has 2 HDMI Ports you can connect them Directly to that. If it has two Thunderbolt ports you will need 2 Mini Display port to HDMI conversion. If you have one HDMi and one Thunderbolt you connect one HDMI to the HDMI port and One Mini Display port to HDMI conversion cable to the thunderbolt port and connect the HDMI to the HDMI side of the cable

• On a MacBook Pro, you have two options: HDMI or Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt. if your monitor has DVI, you can get Apple's Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter. Else a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter.
