sound comes from the computer, not the monitor, there will be no quality to judge because it doesn't output any.

The quality of sound will depend on the quality of the speakers you attach to your computer and also the quality of the sound card installed in your computer. This monitor does not have speakers and does not support speakers.

Of course you can. You can use any speakers you like. In most cases the speakers in a monitor are more of a gimmick and are not going to give you quality sound.

I don't believe that this monitor has any provision for handling HDMI audio at all. You will have to use the motherboard audio ports with external speakers instead.
