“Do I have to buy all 5 new cartridges', or can I just buy the black? I have the HP photo smart 7525 eprint machine. I only used black and white copying this time and used no color ink, will the color, cartridges still work if I only replace the black?”

You are able to buy the individual colors. I usually seem to run out of them all at the same time, but if all you want is black, they have it separate.

You can only buy the black that won't affect the printer and if the time comes when you need the color ink that one should work or you can replace it then. I replenish mostly the black ink more.

You need all the colors, but you can purchase single color for replacement.

Yes, you can replace just the black cartridge.
