It should work with your printer as long as you have removed the protective tape.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should work. I noticed on the side of the cartridge box that it does list the HP Photosmart 5510 as being able to use the 564XL cartridge. Make sure that the cartridge is pushed all the way in the printer. I have had some issues with the cartridges being stubborn and after reinserting them, I have been able to get the printer to print. Hope this is helpful.

Please try again later.hard to tell from your pic, but it looks like you may not have removed the protective yellow tape (which would make the printer think there is no chip). Check to see if the tape is off. Otherwise, if the cartridge is defective, Best Buy should do an exchange.
