“We have a 2nd home in FL and are there only periodically until 3-4 month in winter. Is there any way to keep ink from drying up if not used regularly?”

• Just make sure you properly turn off the printer with the power button before you unplug it (if you unplug it). The printer shutdown process actually moves the ink cartridges to a special spot and “caps” them off so they are sealed and won’t dry out for at least a year or so.

• We recommend using an HP Laserjet printer which has toner that does not dry up. HP has Laserjet printers that print in color or black-white. Ink will dry up if not used for several months in an inkjet printer.
