“What does the specific numbers mean? Why can you only use a specific number? What happens if you use a different number? I just order the 4155 hp printer so I’m clueless to these things. Is this printer compatible with other ink numbers?”

The HP 67 or 67XL black and ink cartridges are that you need for the HP Deskjet Plus 4155 printer. The HP 67 ink cartridges are the normal cartridges. The HP 67XL ink cartridges are the high yield cartridges which have twice as much ink as the normal ink cartridge. No other cartridges will work with the HP Deskjet Plus 4155 printer. If you try another ink number, you will find that they will not work with this printer.

My ink that my deskjet uses has a specific chip on the top of the cartridge n I hate that there isn't another type that I can buy besides the 67. Either get specific ink or buy a whole new printer
