When you turn your printer on, the LED panel screen will light up. Select the icon that looks like a teardrop. I have an HP8710 and previously had a 8600 but checking the ink levels were the same process on both printers. You can see the levels of each cartridge when you select the teardrop icon. If your ink levels are already low, if/when you try and print, you will get a warning that the ink is low.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use the ink icon on the printer face panel & pull it downwards. It will show the volume of ink in each of the 4 cartridges loaded in your printer. I’m not sure if the 951 or 952 is compatible with your printer? Or the XL versions of those printer cartridge models? I have an HP OfficeJet 8740 which was top-of-the-line, when it came out almost 3 years ago now, and could not only handle 2 sided printing, but also had 2 paper trays, which also accommodated legal paper! I use the 952 cartridges, but preferably the 952XL. Tomorrow, I am going to try refilling my 952XL double-black cartridge for the 1st time, as it’s “low-on-ink”. I also just noticed there is a 956XL model which outputs 3000 pages, vs. 2000 pages for the 952XL, or 1000 pages for the 952 printer cartridge. This tech biz wastes so much time that it is best to buy for more pages when we buy!!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Touch your screen to turn on display, there is a thin gray bar on the top of the display screen with symbols on it. Drag your finger on the screen from top to bottom and another window opens, on the bar at the top of this screen is a symbol of a drop if you touch it your ink values will display.
