Thank you for the question. The existing storage on the Chromebase 22-aa0010 is eMMC, soldered to the motherboard, and there is an M.2 slot. You'll want HP# L86899-001 (or any brand M.2 PCIe 2230 drive) for adding an SSD of more capacity. You can also connect an external drive.
