“If I only want to use this as a scanner, will it work if the ink is not loaded? I don’t want to have to continually replace ink cartridges which dry out. Or if the ink cartridge is in place and dried out, will the scanner still function?”

• I have not tried to scan without ink but it still scans with low ink so I would say yes
