It should connect through the direct wi-fi connection from the printer. The printer or Kindle do NOT need to be connected to the internet. Turn on wi-fi direct on the printer. The Kindle should see it on its Wi-fi network. Connect to it and type in the provided password. Now the Kindle will be able to print to the printer.
