I tried, needs phone and printer connected to same WiFi. Turn on hot spot with your phone and maybe you can make a connection. Probably need to reinstall printer while connected to your phone hotspot

However, without connecting to Wi-Fi (2.4G, it does not have to be 5G), you will not be able to avail yourself of the free ink and additional warranty offers. These work under the auspices of 24/7 connection via Wi-Fi.
