• Thank you for the question. All printers should be left on continually to allow the printer tp perform cleaning and maintenance cycles and to assist in keeping ink flowing properly. Printers used with an Instant Ink subscription must be connected to the internet at all times so that the printer can monitor ink levels. Printers utilize very little power when idle. Turning a printer off and on only when you need it is not good for its health and longevity and wastes ink from the self-tests it performs with each start up.
