• Thank you for the question. Yes, the DeskJet 413e has an "auto-off" feature, as well as "sleep". A sleeping printer can be awakened to print on demand, or print from the free HP Smart App when you're away from home and want to send a document to the printer. Remember, every time the printer is powered on from "off", it will utilize ink to do the self-check and will need to reconnect to the WiFi channel. "Sleep" does not waste ink and doesn't have to go through the self-check cycle or reconnect to WiFi.
