HP claims it can only accept HP cartridges. We mistakenly signed up for their "3 months free ink" program, because if you cancel it, they cancel the ability to use the cartridges in your printer that you receive through that program. You need to purchase non-subscription ink cartridges. Unless you print A LOT, it's a bit of a scam, as they'll charge you monthly, regardless of you printing.
