Does the 4155e Scan? to computer HD? Scan to e-mail null

The DeskJet 4155e printer can scan to computer in the following formats: JPEG, TIFF, PDF, BMP, PNG. To scan you will need the HP Smart App which is free and accessible from a computer or mobile device. It cannot scan to email.

It probably will not. It will not stay connected to my computer.
