It only has a 180 watt power supply. I'm not sure you would be able to add one with that bare minimum power. The built in graphics on this should be pretty good unless you are looking to run more monitors and thats why you wanted to add a card- for more monitor support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Has to be a low power one, max 75W I have a standard EVGA GTX 1050Ti jammed in mine. (Twin fan model) Juust fits. (Plenty of top clearance, tight on length.) (With the 180W PSU, you really can't push much more. I've measured a max of 140W from the PSU when stressing the CPU and 1050. Also running an 8TB HDD. I'm sure it's not what they hope you will do with this little box, but it is stable! (SATA to 6 pin splitter, as well.) Good luck! The PSU is not a normal type, either..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP is shipping Envy and Pavillion desktops with what certainly looks like the same case design (different cosmetics) with GTX cards and a 400W Gold power supply. Costs vary. A low power, low profile card takes all of its power through the card slot; the GTX cards need an additional power cable (6 to 8 pin) from the power supply. The supply listed in this box is 180W; most cards will need a lot more juice. So, you need to get a power supply upgrade along with the card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP makes this in a case that looks identical (cosmetic differences aside) to Envy and Pavillion products. They make a power supply that is 400W gold for either the Envy or Pavillion desktops shipping with GTX 1660 based cards. If you want to upgrade later, this is a good deal for an 8-core/16-thread system. If you can't wait for the current gen graphics cards, and want a 10-series card, try HP's holiday sale. Third party companies will likely offer ps upgrades for these boxes soon, if they don't now. For now, with the systems new, HP will likely charge a premium for the power supply. Maybe Best Buy will offer the upgrade if enough people ask for the part?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would have to look up a part number for HP's 400W or 500W power supplies (supposedly for the Envy or Pavilion desktops). It would add some additonal cost. Also, make sure you do NOT get a server power supply----won't have the right connectors. Check w/HP support or google search it. It would let you add a card rated up to about 150W.
