“Is it possible to know WHAT was refurbished such as hard drive replaced, memory chip, video card.....makes a huge difference in anticipated life of the computer.”

There is more than just one unit which was refurbished. They all may have different reasons or they could have simply been leased computers for a business that were returned when the lease was over.
