Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, I've never actually weighed it, but it is heavy enough I would not want to carry it all day in a back-pack as a student. No, mine did not come with office, but that wasn't a concern as I get it very inexpensively through work. I bought it as a spare laptop to have at home (faster ssd) and plan on taking on vacation, nut I sure wouldn't want to pack it all day, I say closer to 5 pounds than not.

Please try again later.aloha, not sure exactly how much this weighs, but it is waaaay lighter than my last macbook pro, which was a 2010 model :) unfortunately, microsoft office does not come with this computer :( but...if u have it on your old computer (and still have the box/product key), u can call microsoft directly and they will walk u through the install on your new one...for free!! i did this, & saved myself $100!! :) definitely worth a try...good luck to u!
