Unreal that HP gave a wrong answer on this! I have the computer open. I just received it today and had planned to upgrade to a 4TB m.2 drive. When I opened it, lo and behold, there is a second slot for a second M.2 drive. I installed a second M.2 drive and it is working perfectly. As an aside, I also upgraded to 64GB RAM. Very easy to upgrade this machine yourself.
