Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No adapter is needed but the actual internal SATA connector isn't included in this model. I am still trying to find one that works. I was even told directly by HP that this model is manufactured without the SATA connector. Also, HP seems to have no idea of the part number for this connector so we can order it so it's a roll of the dice when you find one. So far, I'm 0 for 1. It fits in the system but my hard drive wasn't recognized. HP included the empty drive bay, along with the brackets for the consumer to add their own personal drive but no SATA connection. Someone really dropped the ball on this one. The included pic is the connector you will want to find. Good Luck. I'm still looking for one that works.
