“Does it come initially with ink or do I need to purchase it? Also what is instant Ink?”

• It does come with ink. Two standard cartridges come with the printer, one tri-color ink and the other black ink. The Instant Ink is a subscription service it's much cheaper than buying cartridges at you own time. So it says. I have yet not tried this service.

• The instant ink program is fantastic. I currently use that service. My next printer will be an HP & have instant ink program available.

• Yes it comes with 2 cartridges of ink. After 2 weeks I’m still using them. I already received 2 more in the mail thru the instant ink service. I really don’t need them yet, but that’s ok Im sure it will be handy when I need it. So far it works great. Only issue for me is printing the smaller envelopes I used to be able to print with ease on my older Cannon. Still happy with HP, takes some getting used to.
