This computer DOES NOT have a DVD player but I have a USB portable one that works just fine.

Thank you for the question. The Envy TE01-1144 desktop does not have an optical (DVD) drive.

This model does not have a DVD. I don't even see a way to mount one. The ad photo shows what looks like a door, but mine didn't have that. I bought a little USB DVD for $20 that I needed for software installation.
