You do need speakers to listen without head phones. I got myself some Logi-tec ones and they were pretty well. Not the highest quality speakers but great for their price.

You can attach wired speakers to your computer by connecting them to a USB port or to the audio-out(headphone)/audio-in (microphone) combo jack on your computer.
