If you started the computer with the dongle for the mouse and keyboard, it will not initially recognize it. After you start the PC unplug the dongle and reinsert. This should cause windows to recognize it.

If the mouse works then the USB receiver is functional. If the mouse works, check the orientation of the batteries in the keyboard. IF the mouse doesn't work as well, move the USB receiver to a different port. If the mouse's light is shining on the bottom of the mouse and it isn't working as well after moving the usb receiver to a different port, you may have a defective usb receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In the battery compartment of the mouse, there is a small plug. Take that out and plug it into one of the USB A ports. The mouse and keyboard will sync with the computer.
