I did not try any programs to transfer over old files. But I do recommend getting a "wormhole cable" this will transfer any and all file over from your old PC to the new.

Geek Squad does offer data transfer services and can even recycle the old unit. A worth-while option for anyone that would rather not go through the process themselves or wish to buy the extra equipment to make it easier.
