• I assume you mean internal, as the one image shows an internal drive bay door. No, there is no internal optical drive on this system. You would need to use a USB drive. I have several systems now without optical drives built in, including desktops, so I keep a couple USB DVD drives around for this situation. I rarely use them, but if I need to, I have one. Not having one in the system allows for a thinner system, that uses less power and creates less heat, along with it being more economical for HP to produce without said device.
