That depends.. If you have a DSL, you definitely need a DLS Modem. I have a modem/router combination that was supplied by my ISP (Internet Service Provider) but I also connected a Belkin N+ wireless router which gives me 2 different wireless connections plus multiple Ethernet ports for cabled connectivity. I run quite a few machine in this office. Cisco Linksys is also another good wireless router but try to find yourself a router rated N+ or better. You get a larger footprint with this.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you already own a modem or rent one from your internet service provider, then you should only need a new router. You may also want to consider how many, if any, devices you'd like to connect to the router using physical cables -- not all wireless routers have Ethernet connections, and those that do have varying numbers.
