You can upgrade the Memory and the SSD. Its very simple compared to old laptops. Very easy just delicate. Refresh is 60hz or optional 40hz

It is recommended that should you want to have any upgrades done to this device, that you have a certified technician do them. If Geek Squad were to do any upgrades to the unit, it would not void HP's warranty, but HP will not cover any of the new parts. The reason why is mostly due to the lithium-ion battery and that most of the parts are close to it. This unit has a 60Hz screen.
