Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that is just optional. It is not a necessary to have. The laptop will run fine without a DVD drive. It remains lighter and more portable without having a DVD drive. I have owned 2 in 1's before and prefer them better without the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Before I jump right at "there are no accessories needed with this laptop, you must define what you mean by "needed". You can certainly add items, such as external DVD read/write drives or SSD's or HDD's by using the USB C ports, or stylus pens, etcetera. But are they "needed"? That's for you to decide. I will tell you I purchased this Cyber Monday week for $649 and added a $140 internal 500Gb SSD. But either way, this is a phenomenal laptop, even at the regular price.
