Battery life is really dependent on how you use it and keep it charged. Batteries last longer if you Dim the display, turn off unused features, shut down apps when not using them, If the battery fails during the 1st year (the warranty period) it may be replaced under warranty. In general laptop batteries are good for 500 cycles. A cycle theoretically is using the battery down from 100% to 0% and then charging it back to 100%. This varies wildly depending on how you use the laptop.
