So the prices are $2.99 for 50 pages per month, $4.99 for 100 pages per month, and $9.99 for 300 pages per month. The $4.99 plan pays for 100 printed pages per month. It doesn't matter if you print one page or fill a page with graphics or a photo. A page is a page. The cost covers the ink, shipping and returrn shipping on your old cartridges. There is sales tax added for your state and locality.

Instant Ink will deliver ink to your door before you ever run out of ink because the printer orders the ink for you when the ink levels are low. You get to print 100 pages a month no matter how much ink you use. You can print full color photos and it won't matter because all that matters with Instant Ink is the number of pages you print, not how much ink you use. If you don't use all 100 pages in a month, the remaining pages roll over to the next month. With this $4.99 plan, you are spending about $60 the whole year instead of an average of $264 per year you would spend if you chose to buy cartridges every time you ran out. If there is every a time when you need more than 100 pages a month, you can get another 20 pages that month for only $1 more. Also, this is not a contract. You can cancel anytime you want with absolutely no fees. Here is a link to an Instant Ink brochure: http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx%2F4AA5-1777ENUS.pdf I hope this helps!
