• Flip it over horizontally. There will be a horizontal little bar at the top. take your fingers and push toward you while pushing forward with your thumbs at the bottom of the kb.

• Turn it off, (see little switch top right corner, slide it till it shows read. That is off) flip it over and you will see the battery compartment

• If it is like the K2500, flip the keyboard over and you will see the little cover toward the top side that you slide off to put the batteries in.

• There is sliding battery cover on the bottom side of the keyboard that easily slides off and on to install two AA batteries.

• Turn the keyboard around and right behind the "Hewlett-Packard" logo there's a nub that you push down words and it should pop out. If it doesn't just plug the little flashdrive connecter in to one of your slots on computer.

• Well, underneath the keyboard, toward the back or head, there is an outline of what appears to be a section and/or compartment. It is here that you have to try to 'push' the compartment cover forward toward you if you hold it in way with the face of the keyboard facing down and the space bar close to you. This keyboard uses 2 AA batteries.
