On the backside of keyboard is the battery compartment. It is a little difficult to "slide" open. Normally there is a groove or raised area that you press firmly on with a finger or thumb to gently slide away cover. With my keyboard I had to slip my nail into the space between battery cover to pry open and then slide cover out. On the other hand, you won't have a loose battery cover. Also, there is no ON/OFF switch on this keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This keyboard has a HP Link-5 sub micro receiver. IF ur HP mouse has this technology too then you can link several wireless devices. I attached a photo of th HP Link-5 info. It says "if you already have a Link-5 receiver plugged into your PC there is no need to plug in an additional receiver...to pair...move to within 1 foot of your existing Link-5...press Connect button on the bottom of the device, then press a key or click a mouse button."
