“Can I use this printer without the HP App? What is the depth?”

• My wife’s I Mac didn’t need the app. Instead, I went to printers/scanners, and added printer. Needed app only to start on iPhone. Other Apple products (3) setup automatically. But, the app was needed on setting up wireless to begin with.

• You'll need the HP Smart app at least for the original setup. To use the printer it's not strictly necssary, but it makes monitoring and using the printer much easier. The printer is 16.5 inches deep.
