- Answer Thank you for your question! While it does have a USB port in back, this printer requires an active internet connection from either WiFi or Ethernet. If you use a USB cable, you will need to connect via Ethernet since the USB cable will disable the WiFi feature.

QuestionHi - I see there is a HP+ subscription requirement? Is it possible to purchase a regular HP toner cartridge and print from that? So that when the toner cartridge is empty I can go to Best Buy and get another toner cartridge?

- Answer The HP+ subsccription is not required to use the printer. But it may not work with third party cartridges. I found an HP cartridge on eBay for half price.

- Answer You scan your docs/pics from under the top lid. YOU MUST INSTALL SMART HP first on your PC/phone. You can only scan one doc/pic at a time, in b/w or full 600 dpi color. Works great. You can also scan docs and save them as a .pdf to your device.

- Answer It sure can. It scan scan in color up to 600 dpi. I have the multi-function printer installed on a Microsoft Surface Pro. You can use the HP Smart APP or the Windows Fax and Scan app to scan and save files. I found the HP Smart app to save color and b&w files as a PDF. While Fax and Scan app was easier to save as a image file (jpg). Wish the HP Smart App had more options to customize scanning feature.

- Answer yes it works with win 11 go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-mfp-m232e-m237e-printer-series/38099931/model/36120178 and I suggest to install the "Installation Software and Full/Basic Driver-Supports print and scan functionality only (1)" driver, instead of the "smart driver" to keep you sanity but either one is compatible.

- Answer There is no separate tray for single sheets. You'll need to pull the paper tray cover and place the sheet on top of the stack. Be sure to replace the cover as the printer won't work if it is not properly placed.

- Answer Thank you for the question. The LaserJet M234dwe will print up to legal size. Copy and scan is done from the scan bed, and the maximum size of originals is 8.5 x 11.7". QuestionThere are many complaints about failures using wireless for installs and wireless connectivity drops. I just want to install and print using my ethernet router connection. Any issues there? I am not interested in HP's toner program.

We understand that some users may want to opt out of the free toner offer; you'll have that opportunity during setup. This HP+ printer works only with Genuine HP 134X toner, and with your ongoing internet connection, you can opt-in to the free second year of warranty during setup.

- Answer Hi Regsel, thanks for your question about this HP LaserJet M234dwe printer! You can certainly turn the printer off, and disconnect from your internet, but is recommended to have a connection for security and firmware updates, whether from the wireless feature or a wired connection.
