“Hi - I see there is a HP+ subscription requirement? Is it possible to purchase a regular HP toner cartridge and print from that? So that when the toner cartridge is empty I can go to Best Buy and get another toner cartridge?”

• The HP+ subsccription is not required to use the printer. But it may not work with third party cartridges. I found an HP cartridge on eBay for half price.

• Great question, Katie! An internet connection and HP+ enrollment (free) is required, however the HP Instant Ink subscription is completely optional. You may use genuine HP cartridges at any time, with or without an Instant Ink subscription.
