• Yes, you must set the machine up from the internet. HP, like other big companies and the government, want control. Once set up, you do NOT need to use the scan and print from the computer. Just use the copy function.

• You will need to do the setup on this M234sdwe printer and then you can use it as a stand-alone copier.
