“Why does the printer keep removing /disabling the scan to PC option from the printer itself? I uninstalled and reinstalled all software, have the latest drivers, and it keeps disabling it. It is on network by ethernet. I have to keep clicking enable.”

Apologies for what you're experiencing. If the feature disables itself, it could indicate a miscommunication between the printer and the HP software on the computer. The "Scan to PC" function depends on the HP Smart App or Full Solution Software being installed on the connected PC. Verify the following: The Scan to PC Activation App is running on your computer. (Look for an HP icon in the system tray indicating the service is active.) In the HP Scan Settings Utility, confirm the "Enable Scan to Computer" option is checked and configured to start automatically when the computer boots. Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software on your PC can block the "Scan to PC" service. Add the following HP programs to your firewall's or antivirus's whitelist: hpqscnvw.exe, hpqste08.exe, hpqcopy.exe, and. HP Network Communicator services.
