“How big is the scanning bed? Is the scanner TOTALLY adjustable? In other words can I scan just a portion of the page. Do you have any printers with a legal size (8/ 1/2 x 14) scanning bed?”

Thank you for the question. The scan bed on the LaserJet Pro MFP 3301dw scans single-page documents, and will accommodate sheets up to 8.5 x 11.7" . The automatic document feeder by virtue of its architecture, will accommodate documents up to 8.5 x 14". You can adjust the size/scan range by using the printer software. If you routinely scan single-page documents from the scan bed and need a larger scan bed, please review the LaserJet Enterprise MFP 5800 and 6800 printers series. These models can accommodate 8.5 x 14" originals on the scan bed.
