Thank you for the question. No, toner is already dry and "melts" when it's heated up by the drum and delivered to the page. Inkjet cartridges have liquid ink that is warmed to the proper viscosity and sprayed onto the page. Inkjet cartridges will dry from non-use and out-of-package environments. This can be overcome by leaving the printer on to do its cleaning cycles and printing a page every couple of weeks to keep the ink ready to circulate.
