You can connect the 3830 via wifi using a smartphone or wired with USB. You can also set it up without any computer.

With smartphones simply turn on your wifi then choose it as your connection. It has a default password 12345678 I think but it should be listed in the manual. To use a smartphone you will have to download the free app and make sure your settings for data usage don't automatically change to mobile data when no internet is detected on the wifi connection. That's all I know. I only use this printer with my phone.
