• I don't think you need a dedicated landline for the printer, As an additional omment, I think this printer is the cheapest made printer I have ever purchased. If I had time and energy I would bring it back. I guess the old saying is true: you get what you pay for.

• It has a line in (1) and ext (2). Line 1 from the wall, line 2 to your phone if you use a phone.
