Can it scan to searchable PDF files? null

It will scan to PDF but not SEARCHABLE PDF, which makes it fairly useless, you might as well just save to a jpeg or other image file. I'm so frustrated. If there IS a way to save to a searchable PDF, I'd like to know what it is.
